The Small Axe Files consisted of 21 Files published in 1991/92.

Judah Eskender Tafari File 21 being the last but was not made commercially available.

The Small Axe Files came in three sizes – 5 pages, 10 pages & 15 pages. Each file was made up in the following way:

1 File per singer/musician/DJ/producer/engineer/sound system/label/topic.
5 -10 or 15 pages of information consisting of an:
1. Interview/Article/Profile
2. Selective Discography/Reference
3. Photo/Graphic.
Each file comes with a protective plastic cover that can be placed within a Small Axe File binder forming your own information base on reggae music.
